Let's just say it's some mechanical transporter thing gone crazy bananas. One moment, they're just fine, being bros in the mansion or some such. The next, there's a flash of blue lightning and he's her and she's him.

Avengers Mansion nonsense?

There was a flash of light and abruptly he felt different. Nothing seemed to be necessarily amiss in the lab around them, which was a good sign considering the things that could potentially have gone wrong in the lab. He stumbled, the difference in angle finally catching up to him. Or perhaps suddenly catching up. The world around him seemed to be moving faster and he felt... Shorter. By several inches.

Long strands of blond hair whipped around him as his head turned.

"Did you see that?" He called, voice not his own, but still distinctly familiar. It was peculiar, disembodied, slow, and yet too fast.
